With experience in administration in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade, Tim Smith, Founding Partner, brings his 35+ years of service in public education to bear in the practical and legal aspects found in the challenges of today’s educational settings. A graduate of CSU, Chico, and CSU, Bakersfield, Tim’s experiences have included in-depth work in human resources, administrative hearings, investigations, teacher coaching/evaluation, campus safety evaluation and writing myriad categorical program plans. Tim’s knowledge is applied with focus upon organizational structure, classroom management strategies and administrative tasks that require human resources experience (employee discipline, negotiations and staff observation / evaluation).
Sharon Adams, Partner, is a graduate of Fresno State and National University. Sharon has worked in the education field for over 24 years and has taught classes at elementary, high school, junior college and university. Sharon’s expertise lies in the ability to target and support individuals with specific needs, whether educational or emotional. In addition, Sharon is knowledgeable about laws and procedures, and works well with all stakeholders — parents, teachers, administrators and Board members. Sharon brings vast knowledge and experience in the areas of assessment, data analysis and development of programs that help all students improve their capacity to learn. Sharon has been instrumental in
developing intervention programs that meet the needs of all struggling learners, with the goal of catching and resolving reading and math difficulties early in students’ educational careers. Notably, Sharon’s RtI work has resulted in concrete improvement in students’ progress toward proficiency and above.
Mark Dutra, Partner, is a graduate of CSU, Fresno (B.A.) & Fresno Pacific University (M.A.), Mark brings 37 years of leadership experience as an Athletic and Activities Director; and as a site Administrator/Principal at the middle school, high school and adult school levels. Mark has expertise in all areas of Student Services (SPED, SARB, parent involvement, Counseling, Foster/Homeless, Suspensions/Expulsions, Restorative Justice, RtI, Testing). Mark’s knowledge working with staff in curriculum development and delivery, the implementation and process of developing Professional Learning Communities, along with schedule building and student finance are widely known. Lastly, Mark has worked with numerous sites (staff and students) in the methods of teamwork and leadership development and creating positive campus culture/ climate.
